Augment
Implants, fat transfer, or your own tissue.
Adding volume or fullness to the breasts can be done in more than one way. Some people choose implants, some choose their own fat, and some are better suited to repositioning tissue they already have.
Each route changes size, shape, recovery, scars and long-term care differently. The right option depends on your anatomy, your goals and what you are willing to maintain over time.
Procedures under Augment
Each page below explains one option in detail, including what it involves, who may consider it, recovery, scars and risks.
How the options differ
- Implants. Offer a predictable way to add volume and projection, and come in different shapes, profiles and sizes. Implants are not lifetime devices and may need monitoring, exchange or removal in the future.
- Your own fat. Fat transfer moves fat from one area to the breasts. It tends to give a more modest, natural change, and not all transferred fat survives.
- Your own tissue. Autoaugmentation repositions existing breast tissue to add upper fullness without an implant. It suits selected anatomy.
Questions worth asking
- What size change do I actually want, and what is realistic for my frame?
- How will each option feel, move and age over time?
- What are the scars, recovery time and long-term maintenance for each route?
- Would a lift help my result, or is volume alone the better choice?
Start with a conversation
A consultation covers your goals, an examination, the options that suit your anatomy, and the risks and trade-offs, so you can decide at your own pace. It might lead to surgery, to a different procedure, or to no surgery at all. Booking a consultation is not booking surgery.
