Out
Remove your implants. Redefine what’s next.
Some people decide they no longer want implants. Reasons include comfort, age, health concerns, a change in preferences or a complication.
Removal can be done on its own or planned together with a lift or fat transfer, depending on how your breast tissue and skin look without the implants.
Procedures under Out
Each page below explains one option in detail, including what it involves, who may consider it, recovery, scars and risks.
How the options differ
- Removal on its own. Takes out the implants and, depending on the situation, the capsule around them. The breasts may look different afterwards, and your result depends on your skin and tissue.
- Removal with a lift. When skin is loose after implant removal, a lift may be discussed to improve shape and nipple position.
- Removal with fat transfer. Some people consider fat transfer to add back a modest amount of fullness. Not all transferred fat survives.
Questions worth asking
- What will my breasts likely look like without implants?
- Is capsule removal advised in my case, and what does that involve?
- Would a lift or fat transfer be worth considering?
- What should I expect for recovery and follow-up?
Start with a conversation
A consultation covers your goals, an examination, the options that suit your anatomy, and the risks and trade-offs, so you can decide at your own pace. It might lead to surgery, to a different procedure, or to no surgery at all. Booking a consultation is not booking surgery.
